Environment Conservation

Human Dignity Tanzania has acquired 200 hectares of land, our main aim now is to start planting trees like eucalyptus and pine which will help in conservation and ecosystem restoration but also to use it as income generating for the people of Kibiti.

The climate crisis is causing a range of new challenges for communities in Tanzania and Africa as a whole, including unpredictable rainfall and land degradation in Tanzania. It is also amplifying longstanding challenges including poor water and waste management, soil erosion, increasing desertification, and disease transmission. Human Dignity Tanzania through the program of environment conservation has started educating residents of Kibiti District on environment conservation. This is because there has been huge deforestation of natural forests due to Sesamum indicum cultivation which involved cutting down trees. The aim of this programme is to enable Kibiti community members to implement decentralized, small-scale food production and income-generation strategies that are resilient to climate change and enrich rather than degrade the land. We have been educating the Kibiti community to plant tree like cashewnuts trees and Mango trees which will help them to get fruits and get money for their daily survival through selling cashnuts and mango fruit. Human Dignity Tanzania has acquired 200 hectors of land, our main aim now is to start planting trees like eucalyptus and pine which will help in conservation and ecosystem restoration but also to use it as income generating for the people of Kibiti.
